"This place was great! The location is amazing if you're planning on the usual sites in Florence. We were just a few steps from the Duomo and not that far from anything else we wanted to do. The staff was very friendly. The room was comfortable and it was the best shower we had in all of Italy. Waking up to the bells of the Duomo is a memory I will keep forever."

"This hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the train station. Similar to other European properties, the outer door leads to a shared interior space. Reception is on the second floor. The staff was very kind and helpful and allowed to us to leave our bags before check-in time and provided us with a map of the city. Our room was spacious and clean. The room had an AC unit as well and it overlooked a little courtyard. Very pleasant stay. "

You have to haul your luggage up three flights of stairs! It is just outside of ZTL, so one does *not* have to worry about that, and they have a parking garage about 5min walk away, again, outside ZTL. "

"Hotel Monica is a convenient little place within walking distance of all major attractions. For the price, you shouldn't expect luxury, and the rooms are smallish and sparse - ours had a strong smell of camphor, like the furniture had come from a granny's house. This being said, check-in and check-out were speedy and efficient, the prices were amazing, and the room was scrupulously clean.
