"Pleasant place to stay"
Very accommodating staff. Somehow there was a goofup with my check-in date, they didnt have me sceduled to arrive until the following day, but they checked me in as a walk-in without complaint and all was good. All of my other reservations (air and shuttle) were correct so I dont know who or what to blame for this error. The room was small but was good sized for my purpose and because I was traveling alone but I would have liked a dresser so I could unpack. Good food in the restraunt, regular menu and continental breakfasts. The continental b/fasts are not free like some hotels. Umbrellas are offered to guests on rainy days, no charge. Hotel is about 6 blocks from the National Mall and about 3 blocks from the nearest metro. Easy walks.

"Nice to stay on campus but not worth it"
No pool, no refrigerator or microwave in standard rooms. Beds were awful. Very bumpy and uncomfortable. Carpeting needs replacing. No continental breakfast, and the breakfast at the restaurant was way overpriced and not good. Eggs tasted like powder. We were fortunate to get the room for the price Expedia offered and would NEVER have paid what the hotel wanted - regardless of its location.

This was a perfectly central location. We could access multiple metro stops and were walking distance from Dupont Circle (arguably one of the best parts of D.C.).

"Large but convenient hotel "
A large hotel, it is a short walk to Union Station and the Capital. Unfortunately there is nothing else close by like stores, restaurants, etc. The staff and the concierge desk was attentive and helpful. Rooms were clean.

"Great for visiting GW University"
Nice spacious room, good location-not far from the White House and the Mall by the Vietnam Veteran Memorial. On the border of George Washington University where my daughter goes so the location was excellent. If you arrive later in the evening it's a little interesting if you go to the wrong entrance as one requires a room key after 11 PM-thought it was the main entrance but it was not. There was an employee that let us in and also checked us in, there are 2 buildings and we were in the wrong one-it was an easy walk to the second building through an enclosed parking garage. Trust me, it wasn't bad, we just went to the wrong entrance.

"One staff member can make or break your day! "
Very quaint with great location. Problem, I had asked a staffer if a room could be available when I arrived from my red-eye flight from the west coast. The staffer assured me that a room would be available by 9AM. Of course, when I got to the hotel, there was no staffer that promised me my room, there was no note of my request in my reservation and of course there was no room. Thus, I had to sleep in the lobby chair for 3 hrs until my room was ready. The hotel lobby is very small and the room was small, but clean and comfortable. After I got in my room, it was a pleasant staff.

"Nice Hotel Close to DuPont Circle Metro"
We went to Washington to see the museums and the visit of Pope Francis. The hotel staff was very nice and the room was reasonably priced. The room seemed somewhat dark (there were not a lot of lamps and the decor was dark). The fare from Reagan National Airport was about $20 for three of us, but after that we took the Metro. The best thing about the hotel was that it was handy to the DuPont Circle Metro station and allowed us to go virtually anywhere quite easily for dinner at various restaurants, and it was very straightforward to get to the Smithsonian and other museums (although a change was required at the Metro Center stop) as well as the Capitol and the White House.

Very pleasant stay at this hotel in the center of Washington. Metro station conveniently adjacent to hotel. Within walking distance of all attractions. Decent size rooms, clean. Check in and out quick and efficient. Staff helpful and cheerful. Fitness center not easy to find and no signs, but well equipped when located.
