"My hotel of choice in London"
Professional, friendly staff. Quiet neighborhood, plenty of appealing restaurants in the neighborhood. Close to Royal College of Surgeons, Sir John Soane's museum, easy walk to British Museum, Covent Garden, and the Holborn tube station.

"Great for a city break"
Good location. Nice clean rooms. Helpful staff. 2 single beds pushed together, not exactly what we had in mind. Fridge noise kept us awake during the night.

"Gteat location "
Excellent hotel. Great location and all the facilities my wife and I look for. Staff are friendly and competent. It has a noisy dining room with wooden floor and chairs and tables that scrape on it-- put pads on the bottoms of the furniture legs. Also 12 pounds for a self-service breakfast is high. Otherwise an excellent hotel.

"Excellent Location for the Centre of London"
Good opening windows with additional sliding double glazing, which kept the road noise out, but being near the top floor, the very nice room with a queen bed got quite hot, it would seem the noisy 'Air Conditioning' on auto did not cool the roof sufficiently enough. But was better than the open window for the road noise. There is cold purified water with bottles for the guests and Ice for your room drinks. A nice security feature the lifts needed your room card swipe for service. We do prefer the full English Breakfast (at an extra cost) but Omelettes are NOT available, everything had to be done ‘continental buffet style’ including the tea/coffee, some walking was needed. There was no que for 9am breakfast which was served from 7 to 11am, and check out was at 12, Now we know how it all worked we would still consider this great Italian run Grand Hotel again.

"Central, Soho, trendy, fun, friendly, bar, jacuzzi"
Sanctum Soho is very cool, mainly because it's a rock 'n' roll theme hotel, in the best central location in London, but still a quiet street and near to everything. Staff here are always friendly and it's not like a typical snobby luxury hotel, it's small, boutique style and a lot of the clientele are in the music business. The rooftop bar has a jacuzzi next to it, which is a fun bonus. This time, we just booked a "Crashpad" room which is small, but adequate for one night and if you want it for under £150 (usually around £200+ for standard rooms here, but sometimes there are great deals on). Crashpads only have a shower with toilet, but beds are doubles. Not ideal for anybody wanting lots of space, it's okay for single occupancy and couples. No free tea and coffee in rooms, which is disappointing considering they have that in most hotels. No gym or spa in this hotel, just a hot tub by the bar on the roof, but towels are a £10 charge for non-residents and it's wise to bring swim wear and shower beforehand. There is a good restaurant in the hotel, but if you're after something less expensive, there are lots of restaurants, bars and cafes around. Regent St and Oxford St shops are just a stroll away, as is Piccadilly Circus. Pret A Manger is across the road if you're looking for something quick and simple to eat and drink. Sometimes the bar has drinks promotions on, so worth visiting the hotel web site for details on that and film screenings in private Sanctum cinema downstairs
