"The hotel was very nice. The location has no staff on site but they’re still very attentive. My only complaint would be that I received a reminder about quiet hours even though my partner and I were very conscientious of the others staying there. It’s impossible to be silent going up and down stairs in an old house with no elevator. We heard all of the other guests doing the same thing along with other noises so we thought it was strange that someone may have complained about us specifically. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. Very walkable town."

Beach & King - Stunning Ocean Views!

"Every several years, my five siblings and I, with their spouses, get together for a "sibling reunion" in various parts of the country. This is the best one we ever had. Even though we grew up in Massachusetts many decades ago, most of us (including me) had never been to Rockport. The town was a wonderful surprise, and it was made even better by our stay at "Beach & King," which was fabulous! The house is perfectly situated, with several rooms and a lovely porch facing directly toward the ocean. It was plenty large enough for all of us to have very lovely and comfortable rooms. Tim, the owner who is an accomplished artist and former owner (with his wife) of a Rockport gallery, has filled the house with an eclectic and beautiful collection of local artwork. The house is beautiful, spacious, quiet and very relaxing. Throughout the entire process, from when I first inquired about the house until we left it after a full week's stay, Tim was always available to respond to our questions and concerns. We had an absolutely perfect stay in a gorgeous house that is centrally located in a wonderful town. All twelve of us felt that this was the best reunion in the best VRBO home we have ever rented."

"We can’t say enough good things about our stay, and Janet as a host. We arrived late due to flight delays, and Janet was quick to respond to our updates during our travel day. She and her husband were waiting to greet us when we arrived (which I am thankful for, as the property is easy to overlook in the dark of evening). The property itself was just what we needed. Quaint, cozy, an excellent space to rest and prepare for the day ahead. Most of our trip was spent in Salem, and the 10 minute walk to and from the train station was manageable and enjoyable! Rockport is a beautiful town, I only wish we’d had more time to spend in town during our stay.We will definitely be back in the future to spend time in Rockport, and we hope Janet’s cottage is available when we do."
