"Didn’t like being allocated a room for the disabled with an adjoining door, on the ground floor. Not what we paid for. Were then offered an attic room with a skylight type window, you couldn’t see out and it was dark. They then managed to jiggle things around and we had a decent room, the sort we expected. Didn’t use most of the facilities as we were there for a wedding near by but we did eat in the bar area. Food menu was limited and so were the cocktail choices. Don’t know about the restaurant as the wait to get in was too late into the evening. Would I go there again, probably not. Expected a bit more finesse for the price."

"This was an interesting hotel right in the heart of Cardiff. It was an easy walk to the Castle, multiple museums, and lots of restaurants and shops. It was clean. It was a good sized. The breakfast was outstanding - the best on our trip (and we had very good breakfasts at multiple hotels, so that's saying something). The hotel is a little confusing with a maze-like layout, but you get used to it. The only problem was the bed was very uncomfortable. It was the softest bed ever, and sagged in the middle. When we mentioned this when we checked out, they were incredibly sorry to hear about it, and wished we had said something sooner. I honestly think they were upset on our behalf and wished they had the chance to fix the problem. We just don't like complaining or whatever, so we didn't mention anything. Very happy overall."
