I didn't like the fact that there was limited or no alcohol in the supposed alcoholic beverages at this resort. One evening I drank 10 cocktails and was stone cold sober. I am not a big drinker so 3 drinks is usually my limit. To be able to drink all evening with no alcohol effects tells me there was no alcohol in the drinks. Some people were drinking from 11 o clock in the morning and there wasn't an inebriated person in sight on the resort. This really concerns me as to what I was actually drinking. The resort is right on the inlet where the ferries come in so the water is filthy and there are frequently plumes of black smoke being spurted across the swimmers as the ferries reverse out and other boats zoom by. The food was mostly good but they did not cope with food preparation for large amounts of guests on New Years eve. We were served lobster that was overcooked and so rubbery you could of played handball with it. We inquired months beforehand re booking for New Years eve and was informed we could do this when we arrived on the 30th December. I was really concerned of missing out on a booking when we were arriving so close to New Years eve. My concerns were valid when we arrived and were told it was booked out. After much complaints we were then informed they would be opening up further bookings the following morning at 9am. We waited in a 2 hour line the following day to have to take the early setting at 6pm. Not how one wants to spend New Years eve!!
