“The web site said smoking rooms, this is untrue. I was fine with that, but my room smelled like a smoking room. There where cobwebs on the lamps and the tables where dirty. The shower was dirty and had a whole in the ceiling. The outside was very dirty. I would never stay at this hotel aging. I would tell everyone to stay far away from it as they can.”

“The cabin was great for me, Tammy is a great host,easy to communicate with. If I could add anything to the cabin it would be reliable internet and tv,, otherwise everything was great for me.”

“This was an amazing property. We our stay here with our doodles while hiking and exploring Shawnee Forest. Private, comfortable and unique! ”

“Actually, it was a nice small room for two people. It was clean. Our problem was the weather. It rained so hard and there was a lot of wind. The electricity went out so we had to leave and go to another establishment. But then the right conditions I think it would be a nice place for a couple or one person just to get away into nature. It was very easy to get my refund due to the weather. The contact person was very efficient and removedall of our concerns.”

“This place was wonderful! It was better than advertised. The room had everything you need for your stay, Sherry the host obviously put a lot of thought into it. Sherry was great to work with and the Horseshoe bar and grill had excellent pizza. The view of the lake is beautiful, especially when the sun comes up. We would definitely recommend this cottage and will hopefully stay there again. ”

“Such a great space!! We had our family vacation (two families, 9 people total) and adored all the extras like the pool table, hot tub and grill / patio. The board games were a big hit. The kids loved the complimentary snacks ;) and I loved the fully stocked kitchen and spice cabinet! Comfy beds and fluffy pillows with plenty of blankets and towels. The host was gracious and accommodating, there was a small mix up and she couldn’t have been nicer. We hope to stay again! ”

“This is a beautiful, well-maintained historic home in a neat part of town -- walking distance to lots of attractions. The hospitality was off the charts. Every detail was thought out. Bed was comfortable, AC worked great, and wonderful spaces (dining room, living room, porch) to hang out in!”
