Victorian experience in modern day San Francisco. Decorated throughout in Victorian antiques but with modern day amenities. Enjoy a complimentary sherry curled up in a comfortable chair next to a fire in period fireplace. Minutes walk away from the heart of the action but you can escape back to a quiet respite at the end of the day. Staff was very helpful and cheerful. Definitely not your usual mundane clone hotel experience. Only complaint was the mattress, It was hard and springy.

We found this hotel on the University of San Francisco's web site as one of their hotels they have an arrangement with, close to campus and we used as we moved our freshman into the dorm. Would definitely stay again. The rooms were great, and the neighborhood is fun with tons of places to eat.

Went for Tomo got Buchanan. It was a much more a positive hotel experience than negative. It just does not seem to be together somehow. The room amenities were lacking, particularly the lack of coffee cups and glasses. We were given paper cups at the desk for coffee, had to take the wine glasses from the wine social in order to have any driniking accessories in the room. Staff told us we may be able to get coffee cups in the restaurant. That's true, but I should not have to go begging for a coffee cup at a Kimpton Hotel. Cordial staff, great location, comfortable bed and bedding, yes more positive than negative. But have expectations of a thoughtful guest experience.

It is a nice hotel and location is also good with many restaurants nearby and bus stop short walk. Room price is reasonable keeping in view San Francisco prices. Parking is quite expensive but again, not surprising for San Francisco. Otherwise staff is good, room is decent and didn't have any major issues with the hotel.
