Coffee shops, restaurants and a supermarket close by. One complaint we had was the sound of trains underneath the hotel, although we did get used to this, and the trains did not run all night. It truly felt like a 5 star hotel, such a stress free experience. Starting with the staff (reception, concierge, bag helpers, housekeeping, restaurant/breakfast staff) everyone was so kind and helpful. Anything you needed they were always there to help. We stayed in the atrium queen room, the atrium view was okay, but the room itself was so spacious. Air con worked well and it was sooo quiet. Loved the bathtub and overall cleanliness of the hotel, being a 1800s building. Buffet breakfast was perfect, the servers were all so professional and accommodating. Selection was great, a good mix of everything and a fresh egg/omelet station. Fresh French press coffee for the table. Almond milk/dairy free options and honestly the best chia seed pudding I’ve ever tried. Housekeeping was really good, everything was spotless and refilled everything daily. We dined at the Fax bar almost daily, food was so delicious (try the shrimp dumplings ) and service was top notch. Will 100% be back once we visit Sydney again .
