“Unfortunately another disappointing night at the Inn. Went for a meal, again staffing issues with chefs resulting in quite a few things not being available. I thought there was a wedding function going on as every now and then loud music would blast through the restaurant area but it was just the music coming from the kitchen area as the doors swung open and closed. “Despite retaining the old pub name, this is now a B&B only, so don't expect a bar or evening meals. The accommodation was good if a little quirky. Our bedroom had polished wood floors rather than carpet, but the beds were comfortable and the location was quiet. Breakfast (continental) is a help yourself arrangement and was fine. In our case, check in was done without the owner being onsite. He texted us the access codes. The bus stop for Carlisle was opposite the front door. We stayed one……
