"The hotel is well situated, affordable, and the staff is absolutely amazing. Overall the stay was pleasant and I will likely be returning. The place does need some tender love and care but you can tell it would have been a true gem back in it's day. The beds are worn and need updating, the rooms are clean but could use some touching up, and some of the appliances and hardware are pretty outdated. The breakfast is mediocre, omelets are decent, however the rest is just very simple and lacks things...

"We enjoyed the property was quiet and water front. Lots to see an do close by. Always clean (rooms especially) and staff was excellent and willing to help. We never ate on the property as there were so many options available nearby. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and coffee/dessert. The only thing we found frustrating was the wi-fi. Even though we don't want to complain about something as small as this, we did find that we wish it was available to locate places to eat, things to do and navigation....

"We loved our stay here. Extremely nice property, beautiful pool, over the top accommodating staff. At my request they even tracked down a piece of red velvet cake for my wife's birthday with a birthday inscription and delivered it to the room as a surprise. Would absolutely come back."

"When we arrived at the hotel, the whole site smelled of sewage. The restaurant area, the grounds, the pool area. When we asked why they said the pipes had broke. But when we tried to get our monies back and leave there was no manager at the hotel. The desk person said the manager lives in Mexico. When even Expedia tried to get in touch with the hotel to get a refund for us they coudln't get an answer. "

"Paid over $600 US for three people, decided to leave San Pedro earlier than planned due to harassment by hawkers, emailed Amelias explaining would not be checking in, told no problem, go to hotel in person before arrival date for full refund. Went two days before, was told by owners wife there was no record of my booking, no record of my payment or my name, the rooms were already re-rented, and to discuss it with her husband, who was out of country and unavailable."

"Had lots of little bugs in our villa. Could use a few more railings as floors get slippery when wet. Food was excellent. Beach was beautiful but found a few glass and plastic bottle pieces in sand, Not good for bare feet. 2 lovely and clean pools for non sea swimmers. Would recommend this resort."
