“The hotel is in a marvellous position overlooking Portpatrick. It's rather dated but comfortable and extremely good value for money. The supper menu was rather limited and service rather slow. We appreciated the upgrade to a superior room with sea view. The big disappointment though is now being charged for parking there, which was never the case at a previous stay. Hotels don't normally charge for parking in their own grounds.”

“Property is excellent and the food was amazing. Wouldn't recommend to a family unless you are into water sports or don't mind driving to places as there is not much around but perfect if you are a couple that want to chill...”

“I booked 2 rooms, both of which were excellent, very clean and beautifully furnished, recently fitted bathrooms with excellent facilities. The staff were wonderfully friendly and welcoming, they made us feel very comfortable in the beautiful location. We really enjoyed our pre dinner drinks by the open fire in the guests lounge and learning about the history as we explored the building. Delicious food, we met the chef who checked our exact needs. We could not find any faults at all with our stay...

“Excellent service from checking in to checking out. Particular excellent service from the Restaurant Manager who was attentive at a particularly busy breakfast time. Room was well equipped with a spacious shower. All together a very enjoyable weekend break. ”
