"An extremely helpful and friendly restaurant manager helped us and young child get a meal fast in the fully booked restaurant after we informed her of our early flight. It was much appreciated."

"We stayed at the Albany for 5 nights. Beautiful room. Great neighborhood close to old town and new, trains and trams. If you need more water, towels, a sewing kit or iron they will supply it. Extra bonus tea and cookies in room everyday. I will stay here again."

"Stayed in August at the time of the Fringe, Tattoo, and Oasis Concert- so a very busy time with lots of street performers and tourists. From USA traveling with 2 teens and 2 adults. The Good- warm greeting, helpful staff, super clean facility, wonderful expansive breakfast buffet (included), bath products available in room, fridge in room, location to royal mile and princes street. If you want a walkable visit- the location was fantastic and the streets really cleared out before 10 am or after about 9/10 pm- so it was nice to walk about then too- which was possible because of the proximity to the hotel. The bad- scaffolding over building and north bridge construction was not a great fit for the beautiful city and made a crowded walkway extremely tight. It also made negotiating the street crossing a challenge. At one time they were down 2/3 lifts- but they had one fixed quickly (not even a full day). The lobby area is very small and there were people sitting with their luggage making it even tighter (at times). If you use the train or tram, you will have a 5-10 minute walk to and fro (not really bad- just FYI)"

"Front desk guys were very welcoming , friendly and helpful! The staff in charge of the kitchen not so kind , they were somehow rude to help when asked a question During breakfast time . Good location. Not so close by foot to the city center, but easy access by buss which stop it right outside the hotel. We had a great stay overall. "

"Beds were very comfortable. The family room was a bit tight for three people including a 6ft 7in male. When we returned we upgraded to an executive room which was better for them. Food was fine. The best part of our stay was the staff who went over and above to facilitate our requests."

"I have stayed at this hotel twice in the last 12 months, and am never disappointed with the service I get. Staff will go out of their way to sort any problems you might get. And for a small fee you can use the gym and the pool."

"This hotel is modern, clean, a true home away from home for me. I enjoyed the decor, amenities, comfortable bed, and that it was centrally located within the city. I plan to stay here again in my next trip to Edinburgh."
