“Wonderful rental situated in a gorgeous natural setting. The unit has all the amenities to make for a comfortable stay. Beautiful walks start at this front door. Very comfortable for a 3 person stay although you could probably put someone on the front room sofa. If you are shy, you may be uncomfortable with no window shades on the side or back windows. The only true negative is the spiral staircase leading to the loft. It is very narrow with a short handrail. Not for the faint of heart. We……

“A wonderfully large and beautiful home which accommodated my and my brothers' families of 12 Adults comfortably. We were in the area for a Family Reunion at my sister's house and we wanted to stay nearby. The house was spotless, beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was extremely well-stocked with plenty of seating. We were blessed with beautiful weather and enjoyed being outside on the large patio and spending time in the hot-tub and by the fire pit on a very private and peaceful……

“If you are looking for a restful stay in the suburbs of New York, this is an ideal place. The historic cottage has been beautifully updated with modern amenities and tasteful decoration. Just waking up in the morning and looking out at the fields is pure joy. The pool and sauna provide wonderful refreshment when you decide it's time to move from your sofa or outdoor chair. And, of course, Pound Ridge, New Canaan and Ridgefield are all nearby should you feel the need to wander. Our hosts couldn't……

“House was clean. The only problem was there was nowhere to put clothes in bedrooms or a nightstand/ bedside lamp. Otherwise house was nice. ”

“The place was perfect for our group.”

“This is a wonderful oasis tucked into the quiet and peaceful woods in Pound Ridge. So quiet and seemingly remote and yet minutes from excellent restaurants and shopping.”

“I spent 2 serene weeks here and hope to return some day! With modern creature comforts in the kitchen, the rest of this home is very rustic. If you are looking for peace and quiet, and are into drawing, cooking or reading books to the sounds of trees rustling and water flowing across the street, you will be in heaven here. For summer months, note that there is only a small portable AC unit in the sunroom. There are several fans and it was manageable in early summer, but I imagine it is quite……

“Unique hotel. Nice amenities, grounds, staff and lobby. Loved the Halloween decor! With a few more options at breakfast and bathroom updates, I’d have no complaints.”

“It's a dated hotel so don't expect nothing great. It's a place to rest your head for a nite or 2. Free basic breakfast included. Staff was all very nice and they make the most out of an older property. If you ask would I stay again for the price they charged, that is a definite NO!”

“Quietly ”

“Only one person at the front desk who was trying their best to help but had to keep answering phone calls as well. We have stayed here several times but hadn’t in a while and the facilities have definitely deteriorated. Very dirty elevators; cracked and peeling paint in bathroom. Slept poorly due to very loud traffic noise and noisy AC unit.”

“The room had water damage, the sink was stuck and the flusher on the toilet was broken, yet functional. The staff was super helpful.”
