“Great area! Bright light coming in thru windows due to hall lighting and odd smell in unit with very few towels. Overall a fine stay.”

“Besides this hotel being close to DKR I would not recommend this hotel especially with kids. The nightlife kept us up till 1am with very loud music and the building is no where near sound proofed for that. The beds were okay but the bathroom was dirty. Online is way different than in person.”

“The property is very unique, from decor, to comfort, and friendliness. Each floor is uniquely designed, and every room is as well. I stayed in room 12 and the decor is very peaceful. What surprised me is that either the walls are very well insulated, but I did not hear anything all night. I had some of the best night sleep and the bed was very comfortable. “Super 8 in Downton/Capitol area is a budget hotel and perfect for our stay in Austin. It’s walking distance to many things and in a great location. Yes it’s a little rundown, but the beds and sheets and bathrooms are clean. As it’s a budget friendly motel, expectations need to be managed. Breakfast is included, they provide coffee all day, and the staff are friendly.”

“Our group had eight adults and 11 kids. This was the best hotel for our time in Austin. We got units 4 & 5. The two kitchens and two living rooms were perfect for the adults to have one side and the kids to have the other. The price was more than fair for how much room we got. Plenty of things to walk to, especially food and drink wise. Only warning is if you want a quiet hotel at night, then you might look elsewhere. “The worst experience I’ve ever had! The cigarette smell was so strong that I could barely sleep. They don’t even provide a proper comforter, just a thin sheet. I honestly would not recommend this place to anyone. I feel like all my belongings absorbed that awful cigarette smell. Giving this place one star is already too generous for such a terrible experience! And to make matters worse, I only stayed for ONE night!”
