“The staff and the beautiful history and architecture of the hotel are a pleasure. Location for walking from deep in the West end of Vancouver shops, cafes and restaurants is spot on. The ability to step across the road and get onto the sea wall pathway is fantastic. The restaurant is... good... but not necessarily for the young or young at heart.. Being the oldest cocktail lounge in Vancouver.. i feel I was hoping for a lot more than it offered.. but it didn't negatively affect our stay as there……

“Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The room was quiet and comfortable. That being said, the sound insulation was not adequate. While this did not happen often nor late into the night, we can clearly hear the conversations of our next door neighbor and when they go out/coming into their room. We checked into the hotel after 8pm and gotten a wheelchair access room. So, the bathroom was big, but we didn't find any towel hook/bar to hang our towels. On the environmental side, this hotel provided……

“The location is fairly central, but there are several drawbacks during my stay. There is no daily housekeeping service. Housekeeping is only provided for stays of 14 days or longer, which means guests need to manage their own trash and towels during shorter stays. This was quite inconvenient. The building is also very close to a fire station, so sirens can be heard frequently at night. In addition, there are nightclubs nearby, which can make the area quite noisy in the evenings.
