“It was so clean and bright inside! It made me feel happy even though it was rainy outside and a bit gloomy. Loved the attached restaurant with the amazing pizza! I walked just 13 minutes to get to downtown Manteo and that was a lovely walk. Close to sights like the aquarium and Festival Park. Staff was super helpful too!”

“Staff were friendly and very welcoming. We found a few maintenance things that they sprung into action to take care of. We were in a suite with a sitting room. The room was quaint and offered a wonderful outdoor porch. The only con to our stay is how uncomfortable the bed was. It was hard and spring filled which kept us tossing most the night with lack of comfort. We left before breakfast, so we aren’t sure how that was, but it smelled good! We did dine at the in house restaurant. It was ok,……

About a block from the beach, with easy parking and one of the best hidden features they barely advertise: a dedicated pedestrian crossing and Marriott-managed boardwalk directly to the beach. This honestly made the stay special because the surrounding area is filled with private beach homes, and we initially worried about trespassing until we asked how beach access worked. “First time at a B&B. Bill and Veda set the bar really high for other B&Bs we will visit. Cypress House was charming, clean and so welcoming. It was exactly what we were looking for when we planned this little vacation. Breakfast was great every day. Bill and Veda answered all our questions and request. They gave great recommendations on things to do and places to eat. We will definitely be visiting again!!”

“My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights over a holiday weekend. Overall, the hotel itself was fine and the room was clean and comfortable. However, shortly after arriving, there was a group near our room that appeared as though they might become disruptive. They had their door wide open, were going in and out, and were already being quite loud. I called the front desk to express concern and was initially told that we could be moved to another room if needed. When I decided, approximately……

“It was perfect for a one-night stay. The room was spacious, beds comfortable, kitchenette practical, and the access to the beach was great- private and through a separate back door. There were some used (? cleaning) towels over the trash can in the kitchen area. Would go back again.”

“Our room had pretty textured walls and beautiful artwork. The furnishings were also high quality. Its a 3 minute walk to the beach, and within a few minutes drive of a mini-mart, ice cream place, and some restaurants. I couldn't figure out when checkout time was, but another guest told me 11am. Also the doors have # codes on them so you can check in without seeing anyone. But the insides of the doors don't have slide locks, so we were worried about someone being able to enter if they found out……
