“This was our favorite place to go since 2000. Covid & Hurricane damage kept us from going there. We went 3 years ago & were disappointed in the stay. There were to many partiers & pot smoking & drinking, and no longer family hotel that we loved. We gave it another chance this past weekend with our 13 yr old grandson, ( online reviews were good), The hotel has not been kept up & no more water slide, hot tub or the Sun Viking Kafe, or even family & kid games. “I booked this hotel specifically for the indoor “heated” pool. The pool was cold and not heated at all. The walls in the room were pretty dirty as was the floor. The worst of it was the German roach infestation in the kitchen. I didn’t anticipate having to spend my night killing roaches on vacation. I have trauma around roaches so needless to say I didn’t sleep easy either. The staff did send an exterminator to spray which did NOT help the roach situation, but also the sprayed so much they let……

“The proprietors are very helpful and friendly and really want you to have a great stay and go out of their way to make it happen. It's a great no-frills motel with plenty of free parking. The bathroom fixtures were outdated from like the previous century, but everything worked and what makes this place charming!”

“Our room had zero Wi-Fi inside the room. We have a brand new iPhone and I use an older iPhone, but absolutely no Internet streaming inside the room you have to go outside. The cars are double parked. You have to move your vehicle if another car needs to get out, so there is parking issues. There’s only maid service if you requested a day before which is a little inconvenient you have to think ahead of time if you’re gonna need maid service I don’t recall these issues in the past. I’ve stayed……

“I killed 4 roaches in my room during my stay. The staff were very nice, but the property is run down. My kitchen area was a formica table and chairs, and microwave sitting atop a mini fridge. No sink! Also, I found a piece of broken glass beside my bed. I’m just thankful that I didn’t cut my foot!!! It was I could find at the time, but never again.”
