“This hotel was so basic it looked like it was a remodeled prison. The rooms are small, bathroom was tiny. The walls have cheap looking texture on them. Ceilings are short. It looks nothing like a Hilton property. The breakfast was the slimmest pickings I’ve ever seen at a hotel. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The price we paid seems high for that property ($140). I don’t think we would stay there again. ”

“The gentleman who checked me in was very pleasant and accommodating. We got their really early and he was able to find a room that was ready.”

“The property was very well maintained, staff was pleasant and kind. The area had plenty for a tourist to do. Only drawbacks were there was no breakfast/ snacks offered and no transportation to nearby events, however, it was pretty easy getting around by vehicle. Other than those two things, we enjoyed our stay and liked the hotel, good quality for reasonable price.”

“Desperately in need of a refurb, the lifts floor is disgraceful and the smell of chip fat was very off putting”

“This place was absolutely disgusting. I’m not sure who they paid to post the photos online, but it is not what is available. The room reeked of smoke, paint flaking off the walls, the main door was scraped down to bare metal with duct tape, the list goes on. Do not stay here. ”

“The deskless check-in process is easy and everything worked like it should. The room had complimentary ear plugs and some small snacks. The beds were firm but comfortable. ”

“Staff was lovely, but there was no closet in my room, there was also no dresser. It was super weird that there was nowhere to put my clothes. Room and bathroom was very dark. Shower went from scalding hot to freezing cold. ”

“Completely self managed technologically advanced marvel. Unique and memorable. Self accessed free storage lockers were a godsend. Easy walk to the bus stop and quick $3 ride to Downtown. Interactive HD TV, hundreds of channels. If ever wanting to see a band at Basement East again would book at the Russell in a heartbeat.”
