"The air conditioning was awful!! LOUD. the vent was next to the bed so every time it cut in it woke us up. Also there was something in the vent that was rattling. Worst sleep ever."

"Super clean boat we stayed on. Property was very nice and clean. We learned upon check in that we could use a private beach club and pool four miles away. This was not described in the listing and was a pleasant surprise for us. Only negative we had was we were told upon checking in that you couldn't flush toilet paper. This was not a deal breaker but rather weird. Suggest to property management that if you have to throw used toilet paper into trash can they should do a daily housekeeping service as seems very unsanitary. Even with that we would stay again as this was a great experience sleeping in a houseboat was extremely cool."

"Beautiful private beach and that is kept clean and maintained. The pool was exquisite- always the right temperature and clean. The hot tub was hot and relaxing...I spent many hours in the pool area. Heavyn was very friendly and welcomed us with champagne. She does a great job managing guests and keeping everyone comfortable. We appreciated the warm welcome after a long day of traveling. Our room was spacious and the exact temperature we wanted at the hit of a button. Very comfortable beds and pillows! We had the top suite overlooking the ocean with a deck and it was worth every penny. It's quiet though there are other guests. Loved the ice machine close by and the kayaks to choose from. Areas of improvement: the couch needs to be updated. It's stiff and without pillows. The floor was mildly dirty despite looking clean. Breakfast was decent but portions were small for french toast and sausage. One morning we were met with a lovely waitress and the next day the gentleman cook seemed annoyed to help us so we didn't bother again. This is a great stay overall! Close enough to Key West yet away from the crowds and tourists. I can't wait to go back."

"There are two pools. We found that the pool closest to the hotel was more kid friendly than the other one by the restaurant. We had a wonderful time, but it was hard to get a hold of the front desk when we needed them and it was a pain to walk all the way there from the hotel rooms which is a separate building."

"The staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved the view from the Grouper room. Definitely would stay again."

"You get what you pay for. It's a 3rd to half the price of any other rooms in the area. If you don't care about cleanliness and just want to save a buck, this is the place for you. The front porch hadn't been swept, table hadn't been wiped down. The floor inside might have been swept, but not mopped. The sheets were dirty and it was an ordeal just to get clean sheets. The fridge/freezer was dirty and had no rails so you couldn't store anything in the door. The bathroom cleanliness was questionable, with hairs on the floor and in the shower. On the last morning, we had a wet floor either from a leak in the AC or a hole in the wall (it rained pretty hard the night before). There was a big black mold patch right underneath the AC unit on the outside wall. Do yourself a favor and pay double or triple the price for a nice room."
