"The house and grounds so beautifully curated and maintained by the owner Thierry is an absolute joy to stay in. Wildlife abounds - deer appearing in the field, butterflies, birds of prey, geckos and the star of the show the midwife toad whose sonar like call will astonish! Monein is good for provisions but you may need to travel further afield for more entertainment. My advise - bring things to occupy yourselves at the property and make the most of this bewitching place. Thank you Thierry for the warmest of welcomes and for your kind recommendations"

"Beautifully updated and lovingly maintained cottage for a perfect experience of rural France. Very close to two major towns (Pau and Bayonne) as well as multiple charming villages, it makes for an ideal location for exploring the foothills of Pyrénées. The owners, Shona and Ken, are very friendly and accommodating people, truly interested in the comfort of their guests. We strongly recommend the gîte, and hope to return there again soon."
