"Planned a short getaway to hike Mount Mitchell and this place could not have been more perfectly located to the trailhead. The Lodge is newly built, and ground are impeccably well maintained. The staff was super helpful. They even came by to drop off a lighter so the firepit could be put to use. They have a common use area with a ktichen and grills that can be utilized which is an added bonus as I don’t recall reading about all they had available to make the stay above and beyond expectations....

"Before you book:The check-in email discloses that there are cameras with audio. This is definitely something to be aware of.This house could be amazing and worth the fee if it was better kept. There are repairs and replacements required, some more pressing than others. Some of the furniture is on its last legs, there were lightbulbs out, ants in a bathroom…for example. But there is also plenty of space, inside and out. We saw wildlife and the house is big enough to accommodate large families."
