“What a find! Motel Bear Lake was a last minute reservation for me. I got there late and the office was closed but I texted the number and immediately got a call back. The person walked me through getting into my room while I was still on the phone. The room was lovely, spotless, and full of little treats. A unique spot, truly. Would 100% stay again.”

“We stayed in a family room. It is three double sized beds crammed into one room. I was so happy to find this option because my kids are not keen to share beds. We stayed in room 14. Unfortunately this room is in a converted garage behind the motel and although done well enough we still felt like we were in a garage. There is another family room in the other stall. We paid $258 and stayed one night. The pros: Relatively clean. Close parking. Comfortable beds. The brief encounters I had……

“Cool layout for a family or small group, and it’s a great location. The kids loved the bunk bed and the corn hole game. Kitchen and dinner no set up were great. On the downside- The metal circular stairs were tough to navigate with suitcases, and the kitchen trash being under the staircase had three of our guests knocking their heads against those metal stairs. Room darkening shades are needed in the bedroom, as it was super bright all night due to the exterior lights shining right through the……

“This cabin was a wonderful place to use as a base for our 3 women get-away. Although small, the cabin was comfortable and very nicely decorated. Everything you need is there. Its location is great, being between Beulah/Crystal Lake and Traverse City/Interlochen. We had a wonderful stay; highly recommended.”

“The rooms were so clean! Great water pressure for your shower and the water stay hot the whole time, they could use a keruig coffee machine that would be a bonus , over alll great”

“The room was very clean and had all the amenities a person would need. The bed was very comfortable, the selection of channels on the tv was great, the coffee and tea selection was good, having a microwave and refrigerator was great. Highly recommend this property when traveling.”
