First room we checked into was dirty, beat up and outdated. You can see that the carpet was not vacuumed correctly, The range top had pitted from rust and the bathroom vanity was falling apart, The second room was totally the opposite. Nicely decorated, very clean and freshly painted.

Best and Worst Times to Visit Myrtle Beach

There’s no question about it—summer is the best time to visit Myrtle Beach. The sun is shining and the ocean is inviting. Temperatures usually hover in the high 80s F. However, with this beach weather comes crowds and higher rates. From May to September, the beach becomes packed with swimsuit-clad vacationers. Keep in mind though, hurricane season on the East Coast runs from June through November, which means Myrtle Beach could get hit with some rain or major storms during this time.

If you won’t want to deal with the crowds, and don’t mind cooler temperatures, consider traveling to this beach town in spring or fall. Winter, however, is one of the worst times to visit, especially if you’re expecting to spend the day at the beach. Temperatures drop around the 50s F, and many tourist shops and restaurants close for the season.

Things to Do

Book your cheap flights to Myrtle Beach right here with, and prepare for buckets of fun in this hot spot. Reel in a big one on a deep-sea fishing charter, kayak around Murrells Inlet, and join a banana boat excursion. From splashing in the waves to parasailing over the sea, you’re in for endless water adventures.

For those who prefer to stay on dry land, take advantage of the many theater shows that take place in town. Marvel at the Carolina Grand Opry productions and be amazed at the Palace Theatre magic shows. Alabama Theatre will be music to your ears as it features eclectic concerts with all different kinds of genres, while Good Vibrations flaunts a nostalgic performance of oldies, but goodies.
