“I booked the pool view room, and they gave me a room that wasn't the pool view without telling me. Then I went to the front desk to change room, it took them about half hour to change room for me. But the air conditioner in the new room was so noisy that I couldn’t open it. The hygiene of the room was very poor, and there were some yellow stains on the towels and quilt”

“This hotel has a great location. Beach is nice. Water was nice as well. Housekeeping was very slow and unreliable. I wasn’t able to check in to my room until 5pm after arriving at 1pm. I don’t expect early check in, but I do expect the room to be ready by the 4pm check in time. I witnessed a child’s horror after digging a dirty diaper from the sand and watching poop fall out as he lifted it up. Staff is extremely ready to have every beach chair locked up by 6pm. “Located in a nice quiet section of Aruba about a half mile from the beach. Enjoyed the walk whenever we had lazy beach days. Breakfast (included) was delicious each day that I enjoyed i. The Wacky wahoo restaurant is a very short walk from the hotel, which is a very enjoyable restaurant with a great menu of delicious Cuban food. A convenience store and grocery store are located across the street as well. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for the less busy part of the Palm Beach……

They helped us get a taxi after 10pm on the 4th of July while traffic was still very busy from the fireworks show. The property had the most adorable feline security guard.”

“I've been to Aruba 3x and this was my first time at Barcelo. I would NOT recommend Barcelo to anyone. I love the island and the people but Barcelo made my trip with my family a bit unpleasant. Upon arrival, we waited hours for our room to be ready and finally when it was (only because we kept asking) we had no towels. We asked 3x that night and waited over an hour for towels which made us late for our dinner reservations. During out 8 day stay, each day we had to ask for towels and water to be……

“This is actually a really cute property! The owners/ staff are often not onsite to greet you, but the keys are in the room door & there is often fresh water to drink with coffee & tea packets. Out back there is the pool, jaquizzi, BBQ grill & seating area. The pool is smaller than it looks in pictures, but it is nice. I would have liked for the pool to get a little more chlorine & cleaning services. If you have a car & family or group it's actually quite nice. For a single person it's nice……

“Had the best 8 night stay at the westerly! The entire staff was super friendly & helpful. Everything was clean & really nice. The resort is directly on the beach so that was awesome & we had a good view from our room (ocean view)! There was so much to do directly across the street from the resort so that was convenient as well. And the waiters on the beach were the best! Will definitely stay here again!”
