“Cleaning staff did great a job. Rooms are ok, but the bathroom door is so strange. Built like an entry door and hard to open. Makes using the bathroom at night a noisy endeavor. A/C units are built into the wall. Strange for a modern building. Should have central air. Does ok but doesn’t keep up at times. They have a laundry room but no detergent and no change (quarters). Why even have a laundry room? Some staff could be friendlier but shot out to a front desk person. I didn’t catch her……

“Do not be misled by the reviews that left 10 stars. Like i was. When we walked in it felt very sketch. Although the bedding had been washed there are stains on the sheets and blankets. There are scuff marks and black hand prints on the walls. It wouldn’t take much to make this hotel feel cleaner. Simply painting walls and getting new bedding. The hotel staff was friendly and there was good water pressure and the location was good but other then that it was not great.”

“If you are wanting a “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles “ experience, this is the place for you. Coaster trolleys and freight trains go by several times an hour, you can hear car traffic, as well as small planes buzzing overhead. The bedframe sticks out and sounds like a kettle drum when you kick it…quite a surprise wake up when the late night urge comes upon you and you are climbing back in the rack. Good luck ironing your clothes, the iron it theater to the board with a short leash. Could……

“It was a good price and mostly clean, though my first room had a funky mildew smell and a dead cockroach in it. But the downtown Oceanside area is notorious for roaches. The woman running the front desk was pleasant and changed my room for me because of the smell. Great location. In good shape (maintenance wise, paint, furniture condition, etc.). Bed was comfortable. I didn’t try the breakfast. Overall I’d stay here again. ”

“Basic. Nothing to write home about. Room was clean and well kept. Nice price for dogs. Great parking. Staff o.k. Limited to no extra's e.g., breakfast. Short distant to the water. ”
