Coaster trolleys and freight trains go by several times an hour, you can hear car traffic, as well as small planes buzzing overhead. “It was a good price and mostly clean, though my first room had a funky mildew smell and a dead cockroach in it. But the downtown Oceanside area is notorious for roaches. The woman running the front desk was pleasant and changed my room for me because of the smell. Great location. In good shape (maintenance wise, paint, furniture condition, etc.). Bed was comfortable. I didn’t try the breakfast. Overall I’d stay here again. ”

“The room had nasty smell to it, the tea didn’t work, I had to go out to come and look at the TV four times before you actually came and then they told me they forgot and then there was nothing to do about it the shower had cracks in the walls that were moldy and the lighting of the shower the pillows had stains on them and they said not leave any makeup on the towels or mess them up in anyway or we wouldn’t get our deposit it didn’t feel safe and it smells like ass ”

“We had just emptied our storage unit into a moving truck and needed to stay somewhere for the night before having to drive 14hrs, chose this room from the description and pictures, plus the price was good and it was along our route. ROOM WAS DIRTY AND NOWHERE NEAR SOUNDPROOF!!!!! DIRTY BATH TOWELS!!! There was 1 bath towel outh of 4 and the hand towels and washcloths were visibly clean all the others not so much, bathtub had some kind of patch on it, sink had very noticeable repair, roaches. I……

“Do not be misled by the reviews that left 10 stars. Like i was. When we walked in it felt very sketch. Although the bedding had been washed there are stains on the sheets and blankets. There are scuff marks and black hand prints on the walls. It wouldn’t take much to make this hotel feel cleaner. Simply painting walls and getting new bedding. The hotel staff was friendly and there was good water pressure and the location was good but other then that it was not great.”

“This hotel is located right next to the beach and many other great restaurants in town. However, the facilities are dated: the bed will move, not enough tables in the room, dishes are not thoroughly cleaned and really really thin wall. You have to walk down to the lobby if you wish to borrow a hair dryer. Although my reservation clearly indicated that "breakfast included", all they had was some fruits and cookies. The lady at the reception desk in the morning was really unfriendly, she did not……
