“Close to beach and shopping. Walking distance to almost everything we needed.”

“We stayed at this property hoping for a lovely week. The property was tidy however the only tiny bathroom was not acceptable with black mold in the shower area and gross mold and residue around the drain. We had to clean the sink for an hour to get it acceptable to brush our teeth. The homeowner told us to brush our teeth in the kitchen sink!!!! The bedroom furniture was garage sale quality, the mattress was fine. Kitchen nice but needed cleaning drawers. Cleaning crew left open condiments in……

“This “cottage” is actually on the 2nd floor, so be aware of that if you book it. The location is perfect, close to Marine Avenue, and the garage is a bonus. The red-white-blue decor is appealing, and small touches in the tile backsplash are thoughtfully placed. The bed is comfortable.We were worried about bugs because there is no AC and no screens on the windows, but it was no problem. A few more trash bags and paper towels, and a larger coffee maker would be helpful.The owner communicated……

“I am so grateful we found this property. I rented it for my mom while she was visiting me after recently moving out of state and missing Newport Beach. Balboa Island was the perfect location for her because everything is so walkable and there is always something to do. Since she didn’t have a car, it could not have worked out better. The cottage itself was absolutely adorable, charming, spotless, and incredibly well-kept. It was close enough to Main Street to easily enjoy everything, yet far……

“Pros: I very much enjoyed the location. It is walkable to just about everything you could possibly want to do in the area, including but not limited to: a nice beach with volleyball nets, many shops, MANY fine art galleries, food spots, dessert spots, walking trails, and more. The location feels generally very safe and although the parking was a bit tough to locate, no issues at all once I knew where to pull in.
