“Clean. Situated on a picturesque residential block. Beautiful antique furnishings and artwork. Lovely outdoor area behind parking lot on pond. But steep staircase to rooms, poor parking spaces, few on-site personnel, not much choice for included breakfast, and a long walk to beach and town.”

“When our international flight was canceled at Newark, we unexpectedly had a two-day layover. Instead of staying near the airport, we booked The Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel in Asbury Park. It turned a stressful travel disruption into a mini vacation. We were traveling with our two elderly mothers, and the location was perfect. Cross the street and you’re on the boardwalk at Convention Hall, with restaurants, shops, concerts, and the beach all within easy walking distance. The rooms were spacious,……

“This was my fourth visit to Hilton Doubletree in Tinton Falls, NJ. I have always had a great experience. My only complaint this time is the room was not ready at 3:15 and we had to wait about 20 minutes. That would not have been a problem except for the fact that the room was not completely clean. When I brought it to the attention of management, the problem was resolved and the room was cleaned again. The cost is reasonable for being on the Jersey shore, not too far from the beach.”

“Proximity to the beach and boardwalk were great. I knew there was a nightclub downstairs, but I didn't expect it to carry up to our room (3rd floor) SO much. Even with earplugs, I couldn't really fall asleep until the music stopped around 2 AM. They also have nowhere to hold bags if you arrive early, or need a place to put them after checking out. No beach chairs, no beach badges, only towels. If you are going to party until 2 AM, then this is the place to stay.”
