Krause Springs is situated in the center of Texas and has the most unique waterfall and swimming hole. Best on a hot day since the spring water can be pretty chilly. The rope swing is an added bonus.

Hamilton Pool Preserve is a historic swimming hole located 3/4 mile upstream from its confluence with the Pedernales River, which is right outside of Austin. Hamilton Creek spills out over limestone outcroppings to create a 50 foot waterfall as it plunges into the head of a steep box canyon. The waterfall never completely dries up, but in dry times it does slow to a trickle. However, the pool's water level stays pretty constant, even during periods of drought. No pets of any kind are allowed. Only a limited number of people are allowed to enter so arrive early, people wait outside and as people leave, others are allowed in. There are no lifeguards on duty so swim at your own risk. There are areas that get pretty deep.

This is just off of US 281 in Marble Falls Tx, and in the spring, the bluebonnets normally get really thick. There is now some construction going on just to the left, but it is easily accessible. There is a fence and the land is private property. #BVSBlue
