“Room was spacious and clean. However, it was loud at night. The music from the bar, the neighboring field, restaurants next door, and the wildlife made it difficult to sleep our entire stay. While two twin beds pushed together is the same size as a king bed, it is not one bed and makes sleeping next to your spouse difficult. I would say our stay was just ok. If we ever came back to the island we would chose a different location to stay.”

“​We stayed here during the slow season, so the property was very quiet and peaceful, and the resident peacocks were an absolute gem that added a unique charm to the place. We ran into a few maintenance issues during our stay—including low shower pressure, a weak toilet flush, an unheated hot tub, and no lights in the pool—but when we notified the staff, they immediately offered to move us to a different room. We admittedly declined because we were already unpacked and settled in, but the staff……

“We visited Barbados for the first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary and loved everything about our stay at Bougainvillea. The beachfront location, service, amenities, location, etc. were all incredible. We used public transportation the whole time and were within a 10-15 minute ZR bus ride of almost every major point of interest we wanted to visit (the Oistins fish market, west coast beaches, catamaran launch sites, and fine restaurants). The hotel’s well-maintained beach, water……

“Hébergement correct bien qu’un peu vieillot. Grande chambre avec un très grand lit, une cuisine bien équipée et une salle de bain avec dressing et table et fer à repasser. En revanche, le personnel de l’hôtel est très jeune et un peu léger sur le service. Excepté la réceptionniste de nuit et une présente un matin. Le service du petit déjeuner est très long près d’une heure d’attente pour un poisson frit et une omelette.”

“Nice hotel right on the beach!”

“Staff was very good. The breakfast and bar service was above average. However, for 5 of my 7 day face cloth and beach towels which were supposed to be in the room was non existant. On my fifth day my A/C was dripping water and pots had to be strategically placed so water did not fall on the floor. A technician did come in to fix it and he was somewhat successful. It did continue to drip but a lot less. Also my outside electrical fan did not work. We did notice that other outdoor fans for other……

“One of the few 'beach hotels' on the island -- many say they are, but you usually have to cross a road, or the beach is 'next' to the property. This is essentially a beach compound and private! The pool is big, clean, lots of seating. Lay around and watch / listen to the ocean, or use a beach lounger with free towels and lay at the ocean. The beach must be 100 feet deep and hundreds of feet wide, LOTS of beach to use to be alone, or gather, play games, etc. Grab drinks from the beach bar,……

“I was given a horrible room on ground floor looks like it was flooded in recent weeks..sheets dingy and even had stains..I complained they said I paid for basic. I was going to look for another hotel but then they moved me to a better room. Breakfast was also not worth the price poorly prepared. Would not go back!”

“Everything was excellent. Friendly staff and very relaxing vibe and entertainment. Beach front nice but not ideal for swimming. Pools were great and bar service was amazing. All restaurants were unique especially Oro which was tantalizing. Will be back again. Love Barbados 🇧🇧”
