“I can think of nothing to dislike about this extraordinary property. Beautiful, manicured lawns and gardens offering beautiful vistas and pathways. The main lodge and rooms are so beautifully decorated and the atrium and dining room are spectacular as is the food. Enjoyed sitting at the bar with a nice glass of wine and chatting with the knowledgeable, nice, young bartender. Staff is friendly and helpful all leading the visitor to a special experience.”

“The room was spacious and quiet. It appeared to be recently renovated. Comfortable bed. Nice shower. Friendly, helpful staff. And the breakfasts were very good with eggs, bacon or sausage, home fries, yogurt, oatmeal, juice snd coffee. I highly recommemd this hotel.”

“The rooms are good ,well designed and decent size. Staff are friendly but we smelled cigar smell in the reception from staff. AC sound is loud in the night and can hear noise from the other rooms.”

“Beautiful building located in the heart of the historic district. The rooms were well-appointed, with comfortable bedding/pillows, a fireplace, and a multi-jet shower and jacuzzi tub where we stayed. There was a very good musical act performing in the hotel bar when we checked in Friday night and the atmosphere seemed lively. Would definitely recommend for a weekend getaway!”

I was charged for the room twice (over and above the already charged payment from Expedia) and also a $100 security deposit. I brought it up the next day and it was immediately corrected. Nice hotel, good local, and friendly staff.”

“We found the room delightful -- lovely furnishings, great layout, excellent quiet HVAC. The desk clerk at our check-in was clearly dealing with an uncooperative new computer system but was very professional and helpful. She was quick to assist another guest who simply needed to charge a few beverages to her room account while processing our check-in. One negative note: the EV charging unit was difficult to use and expensive. Tesla drivers will likely find it much easier to just scout out a……
