“Beautiful views, friendly staff, nice breakfast, comfortable room”

“Great location in downtown Blue Ridge. Just know that the hotel is right across the road from the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway so when the train leaves in the morning you will hear the horn and the engine. Fortunately, it only ran a few days of the week when were there in mid-July so we only heard it on one morning. We love the train so that was part of the allure for us. “We checked in and the first room had what appeared to be mold all over the bathroom, inside the little closet, and underneath the AC unit. When we brought it up to the front desk, the guy kept arguing with us that it wasn’t mold and was “just a water leak.” Regardless of what it was, it was clearly unacceptable and not something anyone should have to stay around. We were moved to another room, which thankfully didn’t have the same issue, but it was extremely smelly. The entire room had that……

“The chairs were all stained, dead bolt didn’t work and written on the door in marker it so indicated that. The tub/shower was missing the overflow/stopper lever and just had a hole there. The sheets were stained yellow, the pillows were gross/flat and just nasty. I literally had no choice other than stay bc it was late and pouring rain and had paid Non-refundable….so I stayed and it was gross.”

“The cabin I stayed in on willow creek drive - waterfalls and it was so beautiful and peaceful. I enjoyed my one night stay and will be booking again. Thanks for having such a nice area to have a peace mind and the hot tub was excellent. So relaxing!”

“Dogwood Inn is truly a magical place. From the moment we arrived, Jim and Cindy made us feel genuinely welcome. Cindy’s breakfasts were absolutely outstanding—homemade, delicious, and one of the highlights of our stay. Jim was equally exceptional: incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. You can tell they both genuinely enjoy taking care of their guests. The property is private, absolutely breathtaking, and feels like a dream—a true luxury retreat……

“The property is in a very good location near shops and restaurants; the parking is easy and in front of the rooms. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was clean and quiet but small, although there was room for a fridge. We will stay there in the future.”

“We ended up upgrading to a cabin and had a wonderful time! The cabins were private, clean, perfect size and beautiful views. All the employees were very nice, the restaurant on the property had great food and a live musician (Mr. Miller was fantastic). We will definitely be back! We also went to the close vineyard and had a great time there as well. My husband really enjoyed the wine (I don’t drink wine). I enjoyed the cheese and crackers”

“The room was filthy it stuck. The bathtub was so dirty I wouldn't get in it. And the bathroom smelled like pee really really bad it was just nasty all the way around I would not recommend it to anybody .”
