"Red Roof Inn has never been on my radar to try. When I was younger they had a very negative reputation. With that reputation in mind, I was reluctant to book, but the other reviews were excellent and the price was right, so we took a chance. You have to know what you're getting when you book. It's a VERY basic room. A little on the small side with a tight bathroom. The towels are scratchy, only 1 chair at a desk, there's no breakfast, and very few amenities. The AC was not on before we got in the room so it was hot, but we went out to dinner and let the room cool off so that wasn't a problem. Despite the lower quality, it's clean and an inexpensive place to stay especially if you're passing through for one night and just need a place to sleep. It's in a great location right off the highway with a lot of places to eat nearby. Not much different than Quality or even Hampton, just a little lower quality. I would not hesitate to stay here again if passing through."
