John Muir Lodge

John Muir Lodge

8/10 Good
"What’s not to like staying in the park. Staff could have been more friendly. Walking down the hall staff member did not even greet us or acknowledge us. Walked into the lodge same thing, the person at the desk did not say good morning, good afternoon of anything. Good things: stay in the NP, room was nice, free coffee in lobby for my husband. Bad things: pillows too soft, bathtub slippery, staff not friendly, no restaurant on site."

Sequoia River Cabin ~ Romantic Rustic Retreat on Kaweah River ~ Close to Sequoia

10/10 Excellent
"Amazing stay, exactly what I was looking for when booking a surprise anniversary trip for my husband and myself (our hosts even left a handwritten card and a bottle of wine for us!). A comfortable and classy stay with a beautiful natural backdrop. We loved playing in the river and lounging on its sandy beach, hiking in Sequoia National Park, and honestly just relaxing in the cabin and on the deck (we enjoyed breakfast there each morning). The kitchen had everything we could need and I could live on the window bench with my book and a cup of coffee. We didn't want to leave. The perfect spot to enjoy nature without compromising creature comforts. Whether you want a weekend away solo or with a friend/partner, this cabin is amazing and the hosts are so gracious and easy to communicate with. We want to go back in the winter for a different experience."
