“Do not stay here! Floor sand furnishings in the room had some kind of moisture on them as if it had been sprayed but not wiped clean. The shower ceiling had fallen in at some point and repairing was shoddy at best. Mold on the bath walls was surpassed by loose tiles. The property was formerly a Holiday Inn which obviously went to pot. Three different kinds of bugs were in the room and on the hallway walls. Breakfast area was a mess with little to offer. We went out a local restaurant. Stepping……

“My wife and I traveled 600 miles to spend my birthday watching the summer solstice at Serpent Mound however we never saw the sunset over the mound, as we spent most of our time looking for other accommodations. There is a significant disconnect between the advert and reality. We were prepared for a shared shower, but not a full shared bathroom (toilet/sink) situation—the bathroom facilities looked like a truck stop gas station shower stall. “The drive to the property was back, curvy roads. Plan your time accordingly. Once you arrive, you will find that iit is well worth the drive. The cottage is perfect. Clean and well stocked There is no oven, but all the countertop appliances makes up for it. I did wish there was a notebook with appliance instructions. Farm friendly animals from turkeys to cats. Food provided for feeding if you choose. Lovely porch to sit on for morning and evening leisure. Fabulous amenities from personal care……
