I was nervous if people or the staff would complain about kids being kids and having fun but no, they let them play and others swam with them. The only complaint was parking was so expensive, basically another nights stay! But what made it better was the staff all there were quick and polite. I would most likely to stay there again. They don’t allow guests to use the luggage cart, so an attendant has to go with you. This was helpful at check in due to the confusing layout, but at check out, we just needed the cart. No need for assistance and the feeling to need to tip again for something we could easily do ourselves. The added 16-18% to food and drinks isn’t gratuity to your servers and we as guests are encouraged not to tip at this establishment. We still tipped everyone, in addition to paying the added percentage as well. It feels very wrong not to tip, and adding 40% to our bill from each meal or drink, was completely unexpected and really off putting. A few lows: the hot tub was cold when the pool opened on Saturday so we didn’t get to enjoy it as that was the only time we could go during our busy trip. The beds were almost unbearably creaky with even a slight move, room service steak was undercooked, chicken strips were dry and overcooked, everything besides the chicken wings were either under cooked, over cooked or cold when we got it. Ending on the highs: all staff we interacted with were wonderful, all were friendly and helpful, location of hotel was perfect, room size and layout is great, smooth check out. Would stay again, but would not eat or drink on property due to the additional fees charged and encouragement not to tip, it’s just awkward not to tip if the service is good."
