“This is a perfect stay for just a few nights. Simple breakfast with options, and necessities for purchase if you forget something. Staff was average, and rooms are quite small, with no water pressure. Our room was noticeably damp, and smelled like a wet dog. We would stay again if their one suite was available, and we would limit the stay to 2 nights.”

“This is a very old property. The current owners are trying to update everything. I wish I could give it a higher rating because they're trying so hard. The rooms are very dated but the beds were comfortable. They are updating the rooms one at a time The location is great, less than half a mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Hopefully they can revive this motel. There's a great restaurant down the road in Linville Falls called The Famous Rockhouse. I highly recommend them for breakfast.”

“Overall the hotel was great. Location was is perfect for visiting grandfather mountain. Room was very nice. Conveniently located next to a grocery store. I encountered one issue concerning breakfast as I was erroneously charged for an “included” breakfast. Thankfully Expedia is reimbursing me for those charges. At check in I was told I did not have the included breakfast with my room package. The next morning I was told by a different front desk person there would NOT be any charge, so we……

“We always wanted to stay here and now we have! The views and campus were absolutely beautiful and the food was delicious. The room was quaint but not sure worth the luxury price. Air conditioner was a little loud which I guess helped quiet the talking at the bar since our room was close to it. Ice machine was outside and there is no elevator if you are older and need that. (My husband and I were ok on the second look though.) Overall we had a really good time … just don’t know if we’d pay the……
