Everything about the cottage was charming and we both enjoyed ourselves immensely. The tranquil setting, tiny beach and wildlife just added to the experience. My husband took lots of lovely pictures while I enjoyed a book under the trees. We had amazing meals in the village of Gloucester Courthouse and antiquing in nearby Mathews. The Owner was prompt in answering questions and...

"The house was perfect for us since we each had our own room. The kitchen and living room were great for long chats and reminiscing. The location was only a short drive to Colonial Williamsburg so we went all 3 days. We enjoyed the fire pit and ate yummy s’mores! Highly recommend this place!"

"What a view! Off the beaten path but perfect in every way. The living space is small but the screened porch made up for it. The weather prevented use of the kayaks but still enjoyed the water. The felled tree made for lovely pictures on the river bank. The golden eagles were also a treat as the sun rose over the water."

"The home is charming and equipped with almost everything a guest could need. The location is great. Views are spectacular. We caught fish, took long walks, and explored the area. Shops and restaurants in the middle peninsula and northern neck area that we visited were very nice. The hosts were very responsive. Will try to visit every year."

"Lauren was great and answered all our questions quickly. Her home was appointed with wonderful linens, comfortable seating areas inside and out, gat kitchen and with everything we needed. We could have come down empty handed with just our clothes and been just fine. Their beautiful home is on the point over looking the river with incredible sunsets. Lauren is a very thoughtful and a gracious host with a binder full of information…..we are leaving this great place with wonderful memories"

"This is a real gem. It is small but very accomodating. Love seeing the families enjoy themselves and seeing everyone walking their dogs. Very friebdly. Wish it hadn’t rain but our daughter still had a great time at the game room and the free ice cream. Wish the ac worked better in the game room amd bathrooms but they were not terrible so I still give them a good review. We stayed in the apprentice cabin and it was very nice and comfortable-exept the queen bed could have used a spring base...
