The property is not being kept up. Furnishings are old, mattresses lumpy, pillows either limp or too full. Black plastic kitchen utensils and scratched teflon pans still being used. While the website was clear about two twin beds in the second bedroom, a full size bed would be so appreciated and much more relevant to today’s travelers. The location is great so if you’re looking for a place to lay your head between hikes or day trips, bring your own pillows and you should be just fine. If you plan on using the kitchen for most of your meals, pick up a stainless steel pan at one of the thrift stores and a set of silicone kitchen utensils at Wal-Mart or better yet bring them with you.

A little gem in the heart of El Paso. Beautiful, artsy boutique hotel within walking distance of coffee, restaurants, and entertainment. And the service was the best I’ve had at a hotel in years.
