Sep 9, 2019DO NOT use the taxi service from the Julia Street Cruise Terminal/Port of New Orleans, and if you do be sure to get the price stipulated up front. We were refused the option to use Uber or Lyft by a uniformed officer, who said we had to walk to the Convention Center to use one of those services. Since we had luggage and a person who was having difficulty walking that wasn't an option. The taxi that carried us charged me $40 to go to the French Quarter - less than 10 minutes away. The Uber fare would have been $8. I'll NEVER, EVER use a New Orleans taxi again.
