New Mexico Ski Vacation Packages

Nicknamed the Land of Enchantment for its scenic beauty and cultural history, New Mexico is home to some amazing ski resorts. Glide down the slopes at top New Mexico ski vacation package destinations like Taos Ski Valley, Angel Fire and Ski Santa Fe.

Around 20 miles from the high desert town of Taos, New Mexico, Taos Ski Valley delivers on thrills. More than half of its 110 runs are rated as advanced, making it a playground for experienced skiers. Take part in a Tao rite of passage and hike to Kachina Peak (or take the lift) to ski fresh snow. New to the slopes? Stick to green runs like White Feather and Honeysuckle. Lift tickets start from $90 per day. Another top pick is Angel Fire, which has the only night skiing in the state. Activities include cross-country skiing, snowboarding, horse-drawn sleigh rides and more. Searching for an epic après-ski scene? Head for Legend’s Grill, where happy hour is aptly named “altitude adjustment hour.” If you prefer the charm of a small town embraced by the Southern Rockies, check out Red River. Located along the Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway, it’s small on crowds but big on adventure. Also consider Cloudcroft Ski Area, Ski Santa Fe and Sandia Peak Ski Area for your New Mexico ski vacation package.

I've stayed at 100's of hotels in my life. The rude attitudes of the front desk staff were beyond belief. 1. Check-in: Was greeted, gave my name and CC. the person say she couldn't find my reservation so she asked me for the number. She then announced "all of you 3rd party bookings never have any information so I'll need everything (keeing in mind she had my drivers license in her hand. 2. One key worked, one didn't. I took it to the front desk for replacment. The man ran it through the machine and told me it was good. I go back upstairs and the same thing. I go back downstairs and ask him for a new key. He snaps (yes snaps) at me "It's not the key it's the lock, it needs new batteries, I've called maintenance." I again asked for a different keyand he said" No! I told you maintenance was coming." We waited an hour, called downstairs and asked where maintenance was. We go out to the hall and the manager was outside. He tried both keys and said "This one is bad and needs replaced" We go back downstairs and he replaces the key with a new one that works. Total waste of our time. 3. Our room was in the middle of a block of rooms reserved for a large wedding party. All night Firday there were people in the hall with doors slamming all night. Saturday evening was hell. The reception was in the presidents suite 3 doors down. The hall was filled with people. We asked to be moved and they said they could only downgrade and we couldn't complain about the room.

Lovely garden grounds. Rooms are arranged with an oversized tub which is an eyesore and too big to think of filling. We showered. Nice to have robes but didn’t provide a shower cap. Loved the comfortable bed & pillows. Breakfast was delicious. Enjoyed the hot tub. Didn’t like the $35.additional fee. Truly unnecessary & possibly a dealbreaker for a future booking.
