This was by far the nicest of the three hotels I stayed in during our visit to San Francisco this year, and that is saying something (because the other two were also great!). The staff were very welcoming on arrival, and asked us about our trip so far, offering tourist advise and a couple of discount schemes for tour buses etc. should we wish to take them up. They offered to take our bags up to our room for us (but we were too British for that) and there is free tea and coffee not only in the rooms, but the foyer too.
In the room, we had a 50" TV with great cable reception, and a pod-coffee machine, which was fully restocked each day. The bathroom was fully stocked with toiletries, and though the room was facing the very busy Geary St. it had double, double glazing windows which cut out all the noise! The only down side was there is no air-con, just a roof fan, so you had to leave the windows open as much as possible (during summer) to keep the temperature down, and then close them at night to keep the noise out. A minor concern though in downtown San Francisco.
They also offer (of course) a bag drop service at check out, and had no trouble storing our 4 massive cases in the closet.
