Get what you pay for here, nothing more.Posted Sep 23, 2013
Don't go to Playa this season thinking you need to reserve a room , for the price I paid here , after one night I left and found a boutique hotel normally 80.00 for 38.00 the rainy season has ruined the hotel buisness and I got a great deal just walking around and asking . I even left almost 70.00 here for 2 more nights that were nonrefundable because I could not stay at a place this bad.

GoodPosted Aug 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
Close to beach and to 5ta avenida, the rooms were cleaned daily and were very spacious, we stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which was perfect for a family of 5. Good for the price.

Don't recommendPosted Aug 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
I would not recommend staying at this hotel. We went to Playa del Carmen for a 6 night vacation. We arrived around midnight so we figured the hotel didn't need to be fancy for the first night since we were going to be so tired from traveling and we were going to have to check out early anyway. This was a bad idea. First the good stuff: The room was spacious and air conditioned. The Bad Stuff: Our water wasn't coming out of the shower, sinks, or toilet in the morning. We had to ask for maintenance 3 times before it was fixed. It took about 10 minutes for the water to heat up. The breakfast was okay. It was white and wheat bread, a toaster, fake orange juice (worse than sunnyD), and the milk was left out for who knows how long. The hotel was definitely not worth it, even with the discounted price.

Great PlacePosted Jul 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
I spent two nights at Hotel Maya del Carmen. The hotel is convenient located close to 5th Avenue (shopping and restaurant area) and the beach is ony a few block away. The room was clean with a fridge and nice large balcony with a few down to the pool. They also have a private parking which is very convenient in Playa as it is difficult to park on the street. Also, they offer a light breakfast in the morning (coffee, tea, toast, cereals) which I found very nice. Staff is very friendly and most helpful.

Great place to stay!Posted May 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
I booked this hotel online. I was really excited to stay with my family in this hotel because the pictures online looked really good and the price was really low. The. I got nervous beacause sometimes the pictures they out online are a little far from reality. If you are like me that you'll rather spend the least amount of money possible in the hotel so you can spend more money in doing cool activities in the place you visit, but still be comfortable in the place you'll stay this is the place for you!!! It's by the end of the 5ta avenida (the most popular street in Playa del Carmen) so when we went out to that street we were able to walk from end to the beginning! The place is clean, beds are not the kind of beds you'll find in a $1000.00 per night hotel but they comfortable to sleep in. Breakfast is not fancy but it sure gets you started in your day. I'm definitely planning on going back to Playa del Carmen and when I do I will definitely want to stay in that hotel.
