We really like this hotel, it was our first all inclusive and we loved it, my daughter had so much fun and she had a chance to see some animals around the hotel. Food was really good, and the services were excellent.

Clean. Staff was very nice. Food at Restaurant was delicious. Wine at restaurant was good but any other alcohol is mostly water. But, nobody got drunk 😅 There was entertainment every single night. Lots of funny coatis and capibaras, iguanas and some cool birds. Beach was beautiful. Love the coffe and cookies from 6 am at the lobby for everyone who travels or go early morning walks, that is very thoughtful. I will definitely recommend to stay here. Much better than Cancun.

Beach almost always dirty and too many sunbeds to close together even in the privileged area. Buffet not of high quality and with little variety. Excellent privileged room and cleanliness. The Bloved restaurant is excellent for breakfast, lunch and dinner reserved for the privileged service

We go to Mexico once or twice a year and this has been my least favorite of all of them. The only thing I loved about this property was the beach! Food was decent but not much options by the pool area, pools were hot and service wasn’t great. We wouldn’t book this resort again.

We were impressed with the resort. The room was nice. We had 4 people including a child. They put in an extra small bed for him. The AC worked great and room was always cleaned around the same time each day. Even had turn down service in the evening where they would switch out towels etc. Overall we really liked the restaurants, only did the buffet once though . Our favorites were the Mexican and the beloved. The service at these two was fantastic. While there is just one large pool, it never seemed overly crowded. The activities around the pool were fun and no pressure if you decide not to join. We would definitely go back.

We liked our stay here! The staff was super nice and helpful. We have stayed at dozens of resorts in Mexico and this one was the only one that preserved the jungle it was built in. We loved all the animals, but be aware that they are everywhere and have 0 fear. My brother was attacked once by a coatí and so were two other people while we were here. They wanted our food and will jump on you to get it. If you have small children, this can be dangerous. However, the resort is in the middle of the jungle so we’re in their home. The food was alright. The steak restaurant was not good and we didn’t get a reservation to any of the others after. The service was great everywhere, but the food was just okay. Some days it was bad and others were good. The drinks were always hit or miss depending on who was making them. Marcos is an awesome bartender. 10/10. My sister got her hair cut by Luciano and he was so sweet and professional. Also 10/10. The rooms were nice and clean. The colorful buildings were gorgeous. The beach was breezy and nice to lay at, but had a TON of seaweed. Overall, we would totally come back! Was worth what we paid.

My recent stay at the Catalonia Hotel was a stark contrast to my previous experience three years ago. While the initial visit left me impressed with the friendly service, my second stay was marred by several disappointments. Room Cleanliness and Mosquito Infestation: Upon arrival, I noticed a decline in cleanliness. Our room was never adequately cleaned during our stay. The housekeeping staff seemed to overlook basic tasks, and we encountered issues like dirty sheets and unemptied trash bins. To make matters worse, the cleaner left the door open while tidying up, resulting in a mosquito infestation. We were incessantly bitten, which significantly impacted our comfort. Dinner Reservations Fiasco: The hotel’s dinner reservation process was equally frustrating. Instead of the previously efficient system, we were instructed to use a QR code. Unfortunately, the page associated with the code was down, rendering the entire process useless. Seeking assistance at the main counter proved futile; they directed me to guest services. However, even there, I received no resolution. Despite explaining that it was my daughter’s fourth birthday, I was met with indifference. The staff suggested I speak to the hostess, who, unfortunately, couldn’t offer any help either Regrettably, my return to Catalonia Hotel fell far short of expectations. The decline in service quality, cleanliness issues, and the ineffective reservation system left me with no desire to revisit. As a guest, I expected better.

El aire de las habitaciones parece un aire fresco como un ventilador, pero nunca enfría siempre sientes calor, el hotel en el camino a las habitaciones tiene un manglar que tiene mal olor y el agua esta sucia y no lo limpia y camino al buffet sientes muy mal olor por esa suciedad.
