We arrived very late after several days of delays but were still met by friendly staff who helped us get settled. They ordered food for us that arrived in our room a short while later. The whole resort was nice. The people were so friendly and kind. We will definitely go there again.

This was the worse experience I ever had. The day I arrived alcohol was banned due to the hurricane. I asked the guy checking me in if I'm paying for a service that I am not going to receive and he said "that is correct'. He was very dismissive. He told me they only found out that morning at which point someone else that works there told me that they knew for 3 days prior to that. They just chose not to tell the customers or offer anything such as a credit to come at a different time. The day they started stocking the mini bar I called to let them know to stock my mini bar. A few calls to guest services and even going in person, my mini bar was never stocked though I asked at least 10 times over the course of the 3 days until I left. I went to the Mexican restaurant and after waiting an hour for my food, I approached the hostess and said that there were people who came after us ordered, ate and left and our food still didn't arrived. The server ran up to me and said my food was ready and we sat back down. The manager I'm guessing then said out loud that maybe if you ordered something easier to cook it wouldn't take so long. The restaurant was less than half full and we ordered the fajitas and another simple platter...the food arrived warm. The last night I ate the steak they were serving at the buffet area got sick and it's been more that 2 weeks and I'm still sick. Management of this place is horrible and I felt targeted by management the whole time I was there.

Pros: -The cleaning service was great and towels were restocked multiple times per day. -We came just a few days after a hurricane and the entire property was completely clean 3-5 days after the hurricane passed. -The restaurants and buffet were great considering the price -The staff was very kind -Beautiful beach Cons: -The drink mixtures were great but even after drinking all day me and my significant other felt nothing like it was watered down. -Breakfast is always the same. We struggled with that by the 5th day.

I love this resort so much. It is our first time in Mexico and the best decision ever to book this all inclusive resort. The food buffet were decilious and staff are very friendly and accommodating. Thank you to Alberto and other entertainment staff for making our stay more fun and memorable.

Just got back from Ocean Maya Royale. Staff, SUPERB! Place, SUPERB! Restaurants, SUPERB! Drinks, SUPERB! Beach, SUPERB! Amenities and Daily Activities, SUPERB! Only issue with this place, VERY HARD TO LEAVE. The complaints that people have regarding the beach when it comes to “seaweed”, do not be bother by it. We witness that people from other resorts actually goes to the beach side of OMR to swim as it is clean and OMR maintains it DAILY! I also read a lot of reviews about people getting sick “food poisoning” after their trip and blames the food and water at the resort. Maybe they have food sensitivity, but no one complained about it during our stay. To all the staff at OMR, you guys are amazing. You made our stay memorable. Booking another trip to OMR soon!
