“Honeymoon again!”

Fantastic experience! Perfect location, swim out poll is a dream come true, all restaurants were outstanding, no children and the personall is awesome! Just beware of the "time sharing" salespeople, they can ruin you day if you let them...

“Honeymooned at Secrets!”

This was a beautiful hotel along the most gorgeous strand of beach! We were there for our honeymoon and had an amazing time. Service and cleanliness were 5 star, food was 3 star but they made up for it in so many other ways! Rivera Maya was the perfect getaway

This hotel was amazing because of the little details they incorporated. They were very considerate and made us feel important from the second we stepped out of our car to the resort. They start with a wet towel to clean your hands, and a glass of champagne to start you off right while you are checking in.

“Amazing Honeymoon”

Unbelievable hotel. Staff and service was the best we have ever experienced. Not an unfriendly staff member to be found. Little touches like good beach & pool drink service, most staff had 2-way radios & all had ear pieces so you don't hear them constantly. Guests were mostly couples, and a lot of honeymoon/anniversaries, etc.. Also seem to be a lot of large corporate get aways. Food and drinks were top notch for an all-inclusive. Shows very good for a hotel. The beach party/bonfire was a little weak. Our shower water was mostly good, except one day when it was only luke warm. They clear loungers if unused. 1 woman was upset but this made it easy to find a chair rather than other resorts where people put a towel down at 7 am and the chair is reserved all day. Also plenty of beach towels unlike others that give you a towel card & you only can get 1 at a time. If I had 1 reccommendation it would be to install a full length mirror in each room as we did not have one. The bugs weren't as bad as the reviews suggest but the birds were a bit aggressive. Turn your back on your pina colada and you'll come back to a pineapple skin hanging off the the rim of your glass. Overall though best vacation ever. The staff here works tirelessly and it shows. We'll be back next year!

“good, not great. prefer Excellance Playa Mujeres”

beautiful beach. Excellent staff. room very nice but would NOT do a swim out room. Little privacy and given room near elevator. Very loud. Pools nice. Food very good. entertainment good. Have stayed at Excellance Playa Mujeres twice and Secrets isnt even close.. Will only go back to Excellance...

“Great Resort for a Couple”

The best part about Secrets Maroma Beach is the staff, they are so friendly and helpful. Our Honeymoon Suite was unforgettable because of how impressive the room was. There were two sliding glass doors out to a balcony with an amazing view of the ocean. The view of the stars at night was great also. We would recommend this hotel for a couple of any age.

“Perfect Couple Weekend”

Excellent service. Very good food, quality & variety. The beach is beautiful. The only thing I would say they have to improve is the pool. It is too small and it isn't up to the rest of the hotel

“Planning My Return Trip!”

I had the most wonderul stay from 6/21-6/25. It rained heavily the first two days and the staff worked hard to keep us entertained. I traveled with my adult daughter and the resort was filled with couples on honeymoon or celebrating their anniversaries. We still had a great time because everyone was so friendly. The food was very good but could have been served at a warmer temperature. The pool was great and the beach was amazing. Chairs were plentiful and not many played the towel game. I loved the fact that room services is 24 hours and includes alcoholic beverages. Every bar served top shelf but you did need to request it in your mixed drinks. I always tipped but it had no affect on the level of service which was superb. I saw only one disgruntled employee and his fellow staff member was quick to apologize for his demeanor. There is a "Barefoot Grill" that serves lunch in the pool area if you choose not to go to the restaurant which is also at the pool area. There is a beach bar with swings but the staff serves food and drinks at the pool and beach if you're just that lazy...lol. The room was very nice and I am surprised that others complained about the lack of privacy. There is a frosted door on the toilet stall, a wood door that separates the bathroom and there is a curtain that covers the glass enclosure of the jacuzzi. This place rivals the Royal in Cancun which I thought was impossibe. I can't wait to return.

“Heaven on Earth”

Secrets Maroma Beach was fantastic! Food was delicious, the cleanliness of the resort (including our room) were perfect, the staff would do anything for you and were extremely friendly and there was no language barrier at all. We had an amazing time and wished we could have stayed longer!
