Very Nice Resort!

Posted Jan 25, 2015
Pros: Beach, Swim up Bars!!, Live music & shows, comfort of bed in room, Jacuzzi, shuttle service
Cons: Maybe could have used a couple more beach towel huts. Seemed like you always had a small walk to get to one.
Location: We rode a shuttle for about 1 hour 15 min from airport to the resort but we did not leave the resort at all during our stay.
Beautiful landscaping throughout the entire resort. Pictures only captured 1/3 of the beauty. Extremely comfortable beds(we stayed in Royal Suites). Amazing dining/restaurants-- my wife has Celiac's disease(no-gluten diet) She and I were both amazed at the options she had here-- both at the ala carte and buffet meals. The staff was helpful in pointing out what was ok/not ok for her to eat. Like I said- we were very impressed with how they were able to handle her specific diet needs! The only place it was hard to get food for her was at the snack bars. The evening shows were nice to sit and watch along with the live music before and after. It was entertaining to hear their version of our American songs along with some of theirs. The waiters and staff overall were very kind and accommodating throughout our stay. Nice clean large beach with multiple large areas for swimming.

January weekend

Posted Jan 12, 2015
Stayed with my wife for 4 night Jan 2015. The hotel is badly in need of maintainace and upkeep. The food at the buffets was poor. Some of the a la cart meals were much better. I would rather have paid a little more for furniture without stains and better food.

We stayed at the adults only section

Posted Dec 9, 2014
The adult only section is definitely the wAy to go. Our only issue was the distance to the beach but we could easily find a driver to take us to the private beach cabanas.

Exklusiver Service in wunderschönem Ambiente

Posted Nov 23, 2014
Pros: der serh perönliche Service
Cons: evtl. mehr Möglichkeiten, nasse Badesachen aufzuhängen
Location: alle Formen von Wassersport, viele Parks in der Umgebung, Playa del Carmen ist etwa 30 Min mit dem Taxi;

A little mis-representation

Posted Oct 26, 2014
Pros: The comfortable beds by the pool.
Cons: A lot... as stated above.
Location: Not that much for our interest to do. We did peddle boat.
Reading about this hotel, my husband & I expected fabulous surroundings, service, shopping, etc. Shopping is very limited & nothing spectacular at all. The surroundings, landscape, room, pools, etc. were, at best, ok. Pools needed cleaning, room was ok but not particularly clean, make up mirror was cracked & dim, health/beauty products were terrible. The hotel tells you that as a "Royal" guest you are "special"... not our experience. They give you a "pillow" menu (choose your pillow) which we filled out. Never received new pillow. Our pillows were terribly hard. We made a couple requests for information from staff and were told they would call our room in response, but they did not. We asked for a dinner reservation at one of the restaurants & we were told it had been confirmed & the time, but when we arrived at the restaurant we were not on the list. This was after our hotel attendant told us she had spoken to the manager of the restaurant. As a Royal guest you have a "private" beach. 2 days at that "private" beach, there were no available towels for the guests. We asked for them to call to get towels (you can't just get them easily, this beach is a golf cart ride away, not close to Royal guest rooms) & those towels never came. Earlier this year my husband & I were guests of another resort & treated like royalty. The staff at The Royal Suites-Yucatan were cordial, but not overly friendly. I would not return to The Royal Suites-Yucatan.

GREAT PLACE!!!!!

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: The way the treated s.
Cons: The only thing we didn't like was the Travel Club. They didn't want to accept the fact we didn't want to purchase a travel plan.
Location: It's is a little far from the airport but well worth it.
My husband and I traveled on 9/19-9/26 and had an amazing time!!! We were a little nervous about the place because of the comments. The Royal Suites Yucatan by Palladium treated us like ROYALTY. We had top shelf liquor at the Royal section and in our room, we had no children in our area, we got rides to and from places in the resort, we had a restaurant just for Royal people where we ate lobster every night with our meal if we chose, we made reservations to the restaurants all at once time instead of waiting. We would definitely go back and also recommend this resort to many people.
