Balsam Chalets

Awesome old, historic Inn. No TVs in the room and spotty WIFI did not detract from the wonderful staff, delicious breakfast and overall good vibes. An incredible value for a peaceful nights sleep, beautiful setting and delicious coffee and breakfast.

Convenient location and quiet

Clean, comfortable room with a nice creek front balcony and back porch. The sound of the creek was peaceful and contributed to the overall atmosphere. Beautifully situated close to restaurants, shopping, and surrounded by gorgeous mountain views this location is superb. Friendly, professional staff and plenty of level parking. The place was beautiful. Great place and Ken and Kelly made us feel so at home. We are from Massachusetts and are looking to purchase a home in NC. Our stay was amazing. The property grounds are well taken care of and absolutely stunning. We will definitely be going back to this place

Great visit The only issue is sound related. The comforters are quite loud. When either sleeper moves, the comforter makes a crackling sound

Great location in Maggie Valley NC. A nice locally owned motel. Love the creek side chairs with the wind chimes. So peaceful, they have books available to read while you stay here. Nice!

Very quite and very clean

The beds are super comfortable and the staff are excellent.

We love staying in the yurts in Maggie Valley. They are always clean and private. This time we did get to see a family of elk.

On main road with mountain view

The property was rather nice. My only gripe was there was only 2 luggage dollies. My family stayed for 4 nights, had about bags, and the morning we were to check out other guests had kept the dollies in their rooms from the night before. I have a bad back and shoulder and this was really a pain.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cozy Bear Inn. Check-in was a breeze, our stay was not expensive and the best part was it is pet friendly so we were able to take our fur babies with us. The room smelled clean when we walked in and nobody bothered us the entire time we were there! We definitely recommend staying here to anyone who plans to visit Maggie Valley. We plan to stay there any time we travel to the area.

Husband and I were visiting area for the night and this place was wonderful! Very clean and cute place to stay. I would’ve never known about the little gem if not for hotels.com…..definitely will stay again in the future!
