"We don't usually stay in massive hotels, and this is a very big hotel, but I'm glad we stayed here. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The location was great and there was a good selection of spots to eat and drink within the hotel and certainly in the surrounding area. It was a simple walk across the street to get to the beach and there were 2 pools if you didn't want to go to the beach. Our first night in Hawaii, we sat in the outdoor bar and watched our first Hawaiian sunset. No trouble getting a table or something to eat."

"We ate at Surfside by the pool often and enjoyed it! Staff was amazing. I stopped at the front desk at least 4 times, 3 out of the 4, staff was less than helpful or friendly. I know they were busy, but they were short and did not have time for me. Other than that, we really enjoyed the stay. Also, they need more elevators and stars that exit into the building. We were on the 5th floor and I would have walked up and down the stars if they emptied into the building instead of the back side of the hotel."

"From the moment we arrived the place was exceptional. The staff was always welling to help and always had a smile. We stayed at the Ali’i tower and our room had the most beautiful view of the ocean. Food was outstanding and the atmosphere was great."
